Your attention is drawn to the Society’s rule that details of BL-BS Approved Shoots are only published in the Events Guide or (in brief) on the “Shoots “ page of this site. Any shoots which are advertised as BL-BS shoots and do not appear in the Events Guide or on this web site are not Society Approved and are not covered under the Society’s Insurance.
I have noticed the following “information” on the page of the Longbow-Archers site relating to the BLBS. It is wholly inaccurate and appears to be motivated either by misunderstanding or ill-will.
Membership of the Society is open only to those who have two proposers and who have passed the skills test of either the GNAS or the NFAS, (neither of whom follow BLBS traditions). By its reliance upon other archery organisations the Society no longer provides regular teaching for prospective members.
